February 2019 CILB Board Meeting

by Robin / Friday, 15 February 2019 / Published in All, Application Processing, Board Meetings

This month, we had 2 additional business applications and 1 General Contractor (initial license) up at the February Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board meeting.

Each application that goes to the board (usually only additional business applications or applications with an open violation) is filled out and prepared for the applicant to take into the Board meeting. At License Exam Services, LLC, we realize how important these licenses are to you, the contractor. Before each board meeting, Robin O’Connor preps you on what to expect and how to present yourself for the meeting. CILB board meetings can be a blood-bath if you are not prepared.

The first application was for a gentleman to drop one additional business and qualify two more businesses for a total of three businesses. The approval went through with very few questions asked.

The second additional business application also had a unlicensed activity violation open on the business to be qualified. Again, the approval went through smoothly.

The third application went to the board due to an unusual business set-up, then the applicant decided to changed the application to hold it as an individual. It went through smoothly.

To date, we have NEVER lost an application at a board meeting. And best yet, we don’t charge nearly as much as the lawyers do….However, if we feel you need a lawyer, we will direct you to one right off the bat so that you do not waste time or money. At License Exam Services, LLC, we are On the Level! Remember, we do fingerprints at www.eFingerPrints.org
